Handmade in the Netherlands, using Spanish slate the Ceramic Nature Slate Streets have been designed to create caves and breeding areas for species of Plecos, Loaches, Shrimps, Cichlids, as well as other varieties of tropical fish. The Slate Streets mimic the natural shelters of tropical fish and have an array of compartments just like in the wild, for fish to explore and live in.
The Slate Streets can be decorated with moss or plants that would usually grow on stone or wood (such as Anubias or Java Fern) for a realistic lifelike effect which blends seamlessly into your underwater world. Plants grow especially well on these shelters, because slate contains a lot of minerals.
