Maintaining stable pH levels in reef systems can be challenging, especially when calcium and alkalinity remain optimal but pH tends to drop. This imbalance often results from an improper carbonate/bicarbonate ratio, which shifts as the buffer counters acidifying agents such as organic acids naturally produced by waste or introduced through non-pH controlled husbandry products. Simply adding more buffer may raise alkalinity and lower calcium, creating a see-saw effect that disrupts reef stability.

Our innovative formula addresses this issue by resetting the carbonate/bicarbonate ratio, converting bicarbonate into carbonate to elevate pH without impacting calcium levels. This optimized blend of sodium and potassium hydroxides features a natural seawater (NSW) ratio of 27:1 sodium to potassium, ensuring long-term ionic balance in your marine environment.

Designed specifically to raise pH when alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium are already optimal, this solution works quickly and effectively. Unlike competing products that require multi-day intervals, it can be dosed daily and safely alongside complementary supplements that support reef health.

Directions
Add the product in small increments to your saltwater system, allowing at least 3 minutes between doses to monitor pH changes. As a reference, 5 mL will raise 55 L (15 US gallons) of saltwater by approximately 0.1 pH units. For best results, use a reliable test kit such as Seachem's MultiTest®: Marine pH & Alkalinity kit to track pH levels accurately.

For comprehensive reef care, consider pairing this buffer with other targeted supplements designed to address low magnesium and pK deficiencies, ensuring a balanced and thriving marine ecosystem.
